Members must be nominated and voted on after a lengthy review of qualifications, and work. David was the only American selected to become a member this year, and was nominated by Robert Appleton.
Robert told David that after his video on
INTUITION was shown to the board of directors in Europe,
the “room erupted in applause” : )
David will join the AGI group for their international conference
next september in Beijing, China. He will also be the featured
speaker for a smaller AGI event in lausanne switzerland
this November.
In the august issue of Russian Playboy Magazine , Carson is the
“interview’ of that issue. The interview was conducted when
Carson was invited over last june to judge the
major design competition held in Moscow.
In early october David spoke to students and professionals at
York College in Pennsylvania,
then traveled to Caracas Venezuela for a sold out lecture, and
then a workshop at the design school PRODESIGN.. some of
the results of that workshop will be up soon on the dcdwebsite.
David lectures oct. 15 in Baltimore, then late this month is
the guest lecturer at Notre Dame college. David was recently named freelance Creative Director for the
Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston , South Carolina. (David has a home in nearby Folly Beach.)

Upcoming speaking engagements and /or workshops include, Rome, Milan, South Africa, Costa Rico, Australia, New Zealand and Boston.
Carson, a single parent, still manages to find time to teach daughter luci (3) to surf, and attend son luke’s (5) soccer games.

A major museum exhibition of dc’s work is underway in America that will open in fall ’04. More details as it get closer. David caught two great swells already this season in September in his front yard in the carribean, courtesy hurricanes isabel and fabian………check website for fotos…
